Christmas with Austin's family! Nora is teething but did great!!!

Rice Cereal!

I did a lot of research before offering rice cereal! Some lactation consultants in a breastfeeding group I'm in said to skip it all together,  but I did some research and pediatricians recommend it because it gives breastfed babies iron that they need and other vitamins.

Our pediatrician said we could start last month but I waited because their digestive systems aren't fully formed at 4 months and solids too soon can cause digestive issues in the future, asthma, and allergies!

Nora loved it at first! She kept trying to lick the spoon. By the end she either got full or started not liking it lol she ended up eating half a tbsp of the rice cereal mixed with 2 tbsp milk but didn't finish the whole thing :)

First food & High chair

Last night nora was crying but wouldn't nurse so I figured her tooth was bothering her so I gave her a frozen banana to "chew" on. She LOVED it! Everytime I would take it away she would scream and shake her hands haha!

Then today we went to lunch with our friends Mer and Mike and their sons ages 3 and 10 months. Nora sat in a restaurant highchair for the first time and loved being a big girl. It made eating so much easier!!! She sat facing Caleb and "talking" to him and smiling at him! We faced them toward us for the pic :)

5 months!!

We have a big 5 month old!!! Wahhh :( !! This big girl sits (for short periods...) and plays with toys, doesn't stay in one place for long without rolling around, giggles when I kiss her neck, still loves Sophie the giraffe, smiles at strangers when they look at her...but has developed some stranger danger if they hold her. She mimics Austin and me when we make noises. If Austin is in a room she won't do ANYTHING (even eat) without staring at him. She's so much fun!!!

Teething?

I think I feel a tooth! Poor baby has been waking every 2 hours the past 3 nights and I think it's teething pain! She didn't sleep at ALL yesterday during the day and was so sad :( we took a walk and she looked comatose!

Today she has taken 2 reallllly long naps so I'm not sure what's going on!

Sitting Up

Lately nora has been able to sit up on her own for several seconds and play!
