Nora is 9 days old! She is so much fun! She mostly eats and sleeps, but has been doing a lot of accidental smiles lately when she's sleeping which are SO CUTE!
The air conditioning broke in my car (bad timing,...lol), so Austin took it into the shop (with the help of my mom because I still wasn't allowed to drive until yesterday).
When the car stuff was figured out I then drove Austin to work and brought Nora in to meet the church staff. She slept in her carrier while we went into people's offices to show her off. We then got to Austin's office and I was planning on staying for a little while and helping, but Nora had a big blow-out and started crying. I panicked and didn't want her to be crying when I changed it and disrupt everyone so I decided to head home.
Nora and I chilled at home for a few hours then Austin called and said he was ready to be picked up from work. We picked him up and decided to go to Costco to push her around in her stroller for something different to do, and we wanted to get samples :). Nora did great at Costco--she slept while we were there. We got samples, bought garbage bags, and Austin looked at new glasses frames.
When we were leaving we decided Nora was doing so well that we would stop by the food court at the mall to get a cookie from Great American Cookie Co. I also got a cinnamon sugar pretzel.... hehe
When we got home I fed Nora and then she went to sleep and Austin and I watched an episode of Monk. We then went to sleep so that I could sleep for about an hour before she woke up to eat. Here's a synopsis of the night/this morning
7:30 diaper change
7:35-9:50 Nora slept (Austin and I watched Monk until 8:30 then went to sleep
9:50-11:15 Nora ate (This is not a joke.....she takes forever at this time every night.......)
Nora then slept a little bit and Austin took her to the living room to feed her pumped milk and rock her. I think she was gassy...Between 9ish-12ish is the hardest because she is fussy and never seems like she gets enough to eat. She kind of sleeps on and off....
12:40-2:50 Nora (actually) slept
2:50am-3:15 ate
3:15am-4:15 slept
4:15am-4:45 ate
4:45am-7:30 slept
^^ Usually she would sleep for 3-3.5 hours here, but last night she only ate from one side then took a short nap then finished
7:30am-8:45 ate
8:45am-10 Slept
10am-10:30 ate
10:30-12 slept
The night routine last night is not typical of her....usually she sleeps about 2.5 hours then eats for 45 minutes, and repeats that all night.
