OBGYN Check-up & First Bath

Sleepy Baby!! Nora is the sweetest little thing when she sleeps and wakes up. She has been giving several "reflex" smiles while she sleeps and it's so cute!! These were captured by chance when I was just taking a picture of her.

Today I had my first OBGYN 1 week check up appointment. We had to wait in the waiting room for 40 minutes before they called me and Nora was sleeping but kept grunting, so I stood with her rocking her. The nurse then took us back and weighed me--I'm 7 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight which is great! My stomach is mostly down to pre-pregnancy size, so I've been wearing a lot of my pre-preg nike shorts and button down shirts (for nursing).

The nurse took my blood pressure (120/68) and then took off my bandage on my scar. She said it looks "beautiful" and that because the Dr used glue and not staples, the scar shouldn't really be raised at all and you won't really be able to see it. It's a lot smaller than I pictured!

All of the nurses said Nora looks just like me! And they kept swarming us saying how beautiful she is :) :)

She slept the whole appointment and on our way home!! Pictured below:

She then ate for about 40 minutes and went right back to sleep and is still sleeping!

I don't swaddle her to sleep, but if she's sleeping in my arms I wrap her in a little blanket cocoon. If she's sleeping in her pack n play I put a blanket under her butt and wrap it around her front and then put one on top of her stomach and tuck it under her little flower mattress.

Nora was not a big fan of her first sponge bath! She cried the whole time, poor thing. No screaming though, just crying. When we got her in her towel she was happy. It's cute because she never cries or is fussy when we're changing her diaper or her clothes...those would be the things I would expect to be the most uncomfortable!
