Grandma's Visit & Injury

Great Grandma Patricia flew in on Tuesday late afternoon to visit! On Tuesday night we all met at a restaurant called "The Porch" in Mansfield to eat. Nora slept the whole time. It was great all hanging out!

On Wednesday Nora and I went over to Lindsay's house, along with my grandma and mom, and we visited for the day. Nora did great, sleeping on and off in Caden's Rock n Play. Lindsay is always good about letting Nora borrow all of Caden's things--she even ended up wearing his socks! My mom made lunch--turkey sandwiches and avocado egg salad with greek yogurt.

On Thursday everyone came to our house. That's when it happened...grandma fell :(. It could have happened to anyone. We have a step in our living room and she was wearing her sunglasses from coming in from outside and missed the step. She wasn't able to walk, so we had to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital to get checked out. They ended up wanting to keep in overnight because she still couldn't get up on her own. The lupus makes it worse. Poor grandma!!!

 The ironic part is that grandma went to the SAME hospital I had Nora at exactly 1 month later! Also, she and Nora both got hip ultrasounds on Thursday...Nora's results were perfect and grandma's showed 2 fractures :(

Thursday night we had a cookout with the Young Adult Ministry, so I brought Nora in the stroller and we walked around for a few minutes and then went home and went to sleep! She slept 10pm-3:30am then until 7:30!

Friday my mom spent the day at the hospital with grandma. I wanted to visit but didn't feel comfortable brining Nora into that wing where there are so many sick people. Mommy left for an hour and met Austin, Nora, and me at Panera which was fun.
