Today Nora had an appointment at Cooks Children's Radiology. Babies that were breech for at least the whole 3rd trimester have to have an ultrasound on their hips to make sure the joints have formed correctly. Our doctor moved them around a bit at our last appointment and said they seem great. We should have the results in 24 hours.
When we got to the appointment she was sleeping, but when they put her on the bed she woke up and started screaming. The nurse was a young girl and clearly didn't know what to do....so she was like "can you give her a bottle really quick" and I said "well I nurse" and she said "um okay well I'll step out for 5 minutes while you feed her" (um usually she eats for 30 minutes and stopping a baby early makes them angry...). Well I did and she fell asleep for 6 minutes, enough time to finish the ultrasound.
At the end the nurse said "she's having a hard day today huh" and I wanted to say "all babies would cry being set on a table and having something with cold gel pushed on their hips!"
Anyway, then we left and I didnt put her bow back on because we were heading to the car and someone walked past us and said "oh what a cute little boy!"
She's never going without a bow again!!!!
Nora's pediatrician called Austin's cell phone tonight and let him know that her hips look perfect!! YAY!!
